James City County Police Department
The
James City County Police Department recently started their first ever motorcycle unit. The unit was formed in October 2011 but
did not go operational until
after police motorcycle training was completed in April 2012. The unit consists of two 2012 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide motorcycles.
There are currently
two riders but 4 more are being trained and being brought on board. The goal of the department is to expand the unit to four and
maybe even six Motorcycles.
